Painter, Abner Balijja, was born on March 5th 1941 in a small village in the region of Busoga in Southern Uganda.  Up until 1962, the African State was a British Protectorate. It was in this environment that young Abner grew up, influenced by the English culture of which he appreciated the ability of embellishing the surroundings with gardens, villas and parks.
