This collection, which includes 13 expertly crafted pieces composed of 18kt gold and sterling silver, is a mesmerizing homage to the lotus blossom, a symbol that has a deep cultural and historical significance in ancient Egypt.
Creative Director Azza Fahmy and Head Designer Amina Ghali have a very special place in their hearts for this collection, which reflects their unshakable love for Egypt’s history. Azza Fahmy finds inspiration for her enthralling historical investigation in Egypt’s temples and sacred tombs, where the Lotus flower has long been associated with great meaning. This collection celebrates the lotus, a symbol of creation and rebirth, as a picture of the blooming dawn.
The Lotus Pectoral Collar and Lotus Bouquet Cuff, which both showcase the Lotus flower in a variety of organic shapes, are part of the collection. Pharaonic blossoming lotuses, lotus buds, lily pads, and rosettes surround them, while “ehker” signals signify embellishment. The Lotus Drop Earrings are inspired by the shen-sign, which stands for eternity, and embodies ancient Egyptian symbolism.
Beyond Jewelry – A Celebration of Elegance and Heritage
The Sema-tawy emblem, which represents the unification of Upper and Lower Egypt through the joining of the Lotus and Papyrus, is the source of inspiration for the Lotus Union Bangle. Last but not least, the Lotus Blossom Ring gracefully depicts a lotus in bloom. Such flowering lotus bouquets, which represent love and devotion, were placed on offering tables in ancient Egypt.
