READY-TO-WEAR Drawing from the season’s theme of timelessness and comfort, destructured wool jersey blazers and trousers are designed for a relaxed fit. Tonal leather details are juxtaposed with cashmere crewnecks and coats, and soft-padded leather scarves and outerwear.
Denim-effect cotton wool coats with contrast Heritage Red lining are paired alongside leather-crafted, straight-leg trousers. Wool jersey brings a soft, utilitarian comfort in a hemp-colored jacket and wide-leg trousers, worn with zip-up cotton sweatshirts. Shearling jackets in Oceania boast a nappa finishing effect inside.
Loose-fitting wool shirts and fabric trousers signal ease, while eco-nylon Alpine camo bombers and cargo trousers create a uniform head-to-toe look; an eco-padded leather parka sees a detachable, tonal shearling vest.

BALLY MAN Elevating form and function; fashion as ritual comfort and self-expression.
SHOES The heroic Valais presents in new, inspired iterations, from Alpine camo soft hair calf styles, to hiking-inspired Wallabee shoes, formal streamlined combat boots, and sportier hybrid suede, recycled mesh sneakers with Bally Stripe insoles; smooth calfskin and rubberized leather shoes highlight a higher level of craft complexity. Oxford shoes are streamlined with Norwegian construction and leather-injected soles. The new Holden sneaker further features a chunky sole and Bally Wing motif in mixed materials, from suede to laminated leather and nylon, purposefully combining past and present. All sneaker linings are GRS-certified and made from recycled plastic bottles, while leather is sourced from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group or ISO.

BAGS Vegetable-tanned leather Cliff holdalls feature elegant woven details mimicking the iconic silhouette of the Bally Stripe, demonstrating an excellence in craft. Brave soft nylon duffles in dusty whites and black, made of 100% pre-consumer, GRS-certified yarns, showcase multi-functional designs and metallic hardware and zips for versatile wear. Breeze backpacks in soft-padded nappa leather are accented with quilted details, while the formal Scribe range, from weekenders to crossbody bags, evolve for the new season with metal.

INTRODUCING E.L.V. DENIM,
A ZERO-WASTE DENIM BRAND
Founded by Anna Foster, E.L.V. DENIM is a zero-waste brand designed and produced sustainably. The brand is renowned for its iconic contrasting denim jeans and jackets made with upcycled denim and assembled within a 5-mile radius in East London. In the quest to make unwanted material viable again, E.L.V. DENIM takes redundant denim and turns it into newer, more modern styles. Unlike traditional designers, who create a piece and then find the material, E.L.V. DENIM finds the perfect material first, then decipher what design can be made from it.
The upcycled denim is sourced from warehouses around the U.K. where each pair is handpicked. The jeans are then brought down to London and washed by a local launderette and dropped off to the E.L.V. DENIM studio in an electric car. The jeans are sorted, paired, debranded and delivered to Blackhorse Lane Atelier where the items are produced. All parts of the jeans are either used to make new products, given to local artist Ian Berry or donated to art schools around the U.K for sustainability projects. Being a seasonless brand, Founder and Creative Director, Anna Foster favours new design developments over creating whole new collections. This was first explored in December 2020 with the creation of denim jumpsuits, the brand’s first foray into design outside of jeans and jackets. Since then, developments have seen the introduction of made-to-order designs, bespoke jumpsuits and menswear. Since the launch in 2018 the brand has been stocked in: Net-A-Porter, MATCHES FASHION, Revolve, Harvey Nichols Kuwait, Harvey Nichols Dubai, Bloomingdales Dubai, Market Highland, Hudson Bay Company, Fenwicks, Selfridges, Neiman Marcus, ShopBop, Le Bon Marche, Alex Eagle, The Store X, Rare Market, Space Mue, Plain People and The Mall Dubai.

In Conversation with Candace Ashley AKA The Blonde Muslimah
Her search to find herself has brought her here, to a place of peace, love and contentment. And through that she spreads her knowledge of what she has learnt and is still learning. The beautiful Candace Ashley gets real with us and tells us the ins and outs of her journey that has led her to her find her true self. We absolutely enjoyed listening to her share what it is like to be a Blonde Muslima.
Tell us more about yourself?
I was born and raised in Nevada but relocated to California almost 9 years ago. I have a degree in Psychology and a love for helping people. I create content online to benefit other reverts and born Muslims, and I use my platforms to try to educate and eliminate the misinformation that exists in the Western world about Islam and try to show the beauty that I’ve discovered. I hope by sharing my story and journey that I can inspire, motivate, and empower others to be the best version of themselves.

What was it that drew you to Islam?
I found out that Muslims believe in Jesus, Moses, Noah and other prophets that I had learnt of within Christianity. I did some more research into this to see the connections between these two religions. The path ultimately led me to a deeper understanding of Christianity, which in turn strengthened me as a believing woman and ultimately led me to Islam. Throughout my research, I was shocked to find out there was another Prophet, peace be upon him, after Jesus and that the true message of Islam did not coincide with the fabricated one perpetuated by the West and the media.
How did you adjust into your ‘new’ self?
I had a really difficult time trying to rewrite my entire identity as I re-established myself in the world as a new Muslim. Although it was something I really loved and wanted to do, it was painful. I was undergoing an immensely deep spiritual journey whilst simultaneously being bullied by my inner-circles to be the person they’d always known me to be. For some reason, my changes and growth were challenged by the people in my life and I was pressured to stop my new path. If anything, it really opened my eyes to the social and cultural standards that we have for women in the West, and it caused me to think about who I’ve been conditioned to be vs. who I want to be or rather, who God has commanded me to be as a woman. I had a clear identity crisis in the beginning, but I finally made the decision to be my authentic self. I felt so sad, lonely, and isolated as I struggled to meet other Muslims and form new and stronger friendships. In hindsight, I truly feel these situations and experiences shaped me into the person I am today and taught me the true beauty of patience (sabr) and faith (Iman).
Share with us how your family responded to you embracing Islam?
Opening up to a Western family about reverting to Islam is something that is very difficult for many reverts for a variety of reasons. There is a huge misconception about Islam, so many families feel threatened or scared by the idea of their daughter/sister/friend/etc. adopting this lifestyle. I realize that Allah creates Muslims and places the spark of interest into our hearts, so I pray for guidance for all our families. My immediate family were resistant and as a result, I went through a very difficult time of judgement, criticism, and ostracism. I’ve had several family members and many close friends disown me. It was really painful at first, and I cried a lot, but I now understand that people who genuinely love me are kind, patient, and accepting of me even if we have difference in lifestyles and belief systems.

Why did you decide to come out and speak openly about being a blonde Muslimah?
I never had any intention of being “The Blonde Muslimah” or coming out publically for this role. I was a new revert who was struggling and alone. I felt alienated because no one could understand me. For one, my family couldn’t relate and wasn’t on the same path. And at the same time, born Muslims couldn’t relate or identify with me either. I felt like no one understood what I was going through. And as a result, I took to the Internet as a way to try to make friends and feel a sense of identity and belonging.
I lived in fear of the judgment and criticism of others which created a dynamic and complex identity issue on a personal and social level. I was craving Muslim friends, yet I was too afraid to post about being Muslim or loving Islam because of the bullying I received from my family. So, what happened was I ended up making two separate Instagram accounts. I had my “normal” one for the people I knew my whole life, then had the “Muslim” one to make new friends. This separation of my identity really caused further emotional issues because I couldn’t ever figure out which version of myself, I was supposed to be and it became exhausting trying to please everyone. I finally made the decision just to take the plunge and solidify my identity in a quest for radical authenticity and self-acceptance.
I made a few girlfriends online and we talked about our journeys and the familial/cultural/social issues that we were going through as a result of being new reverts to Islam in the West. As we started approaching what was my 2nd Ramadan, I realized that there were some girls who were newer to Islam than me, so I made a video for them on how to hide their prayers (salah) and their fasting so that their families wouldn’t notice that they’re practicing Islam. It was an eye opener because I realized that so many girls are out their hiding who they really are, just to maintain that love and respect from their friends, families, and social circles, and it led me to where I am now. I just started making videos about my love for Islam and giving pointers for reverted young girls and women so they could navigate the same things in a better way than I did. As someone who went through these things myself, I had made it my mission to get information out so that I could help these young women and girls who found themselves in the same place as I was once in.
The name The Blonde Muslim was something that my non-Muslim best friend suggested as she saw that I was straddling the fence between being “regular Candace” and “Muslim Candace,” and she suggested that I just take the next step and put it out for everyone to see. I had to really take the initiative to stop hiding who I was, and I’m forever grateful that by opening up about who I am, my struggles, and my journey, that I am able to impact, benefit, and be of help to all the beautiful people who are looking for help and desperately want that sense of belonging and community.
What I liked about using the word “blonde” and the word “Muslim” is that there’s a juxtaposition in the fact that we don’t normally associate the word “blonde” with someone who is “Muslim.” However, it’s only a misconception because the word “Muslim” is all inclusive- racially, culturally, gender, class, country and background. I also like it because it causes people who have been misinformed about Islam to kind of do a double take and think about what it means. I’m doing what I can to show that Islam is for everyone. No one group owns it more than another, it is for EVERYONE!

What challenges did you face?
The biggest struggle was coming out to my friends and family and facing the bullying and criticism. I was really emotional and afraid of the judgment and feedback, and it kept me in a place of fear for a long time. It was difficult to feel different from everyone, yet on the outside, look the same as them. It’s normal for people to judge me and think I am based on how I look, and I am to a degree, but no one expected me to be a practicing Muslim. My lifestyle was so different from that of my friends and family, it’s hard to really connect with others and talk about life when I can’t say Alhamdulillah after every other word and they don’t understand (even on a basic level) what it is to be Muslim and what my lifestyle entails.
Over time, people have suggested to me, “why don’t you just tell them you’re Muslim?” But what people don’t realize is that so many people in the West have either been brainwashed about a misconception of Islam, or contrarily, they don’t even know what Islam is or know a Muslim. The issue for me was, how do I explain something so deep and beautiful that overflows in so many aspects of my life—an actual lifestyle—to someone in a casual conversation as a one sentence answer? Being Muslim is so dynamic and comprehensive; it has taken over my every cell, thought, and outlook. It’s really hard to put it into words or to explain basics like why I pray or fast. Most of my family actually thinks I’m mentally unwell for praying how I do, and I had a family member actually disown me over it. When it comes to Ramadan, everyone thinks I’m ‘crazy’. The hypocrisy drives me insane because it’s like, it’s fine to do intermittent fasting for a diet, but it’s not okay to do it for God? It’s okay to wear modest clothes to Church, but it’s not okay to wear them everyday as a Muslim? Why is there a limit to how many times a day a person should pray? These kind of questions…
What are some of the responses you have given and how do you handle them?
Honestly, it’s been difficult to feel hurt, rejected, and oftentimes judged, but I know that God chose me for this path for a reason! I try to remember that every moment is an opportunity for me to showcase how I respond, and I try to use what I’ve learned to respond with beauty. Honestly when you think about it, the affairs of a believer are always beautiful. I am either tested with the difficult and am rewarded for my patience and efforts, or I am tested with easy and am rewarded for my response and gratitude. Alhamdulillah. When it comes to my family, I just have to remind myself that I was a non-Muslim several years ago and that if Allah chose me to become Muslim, then he can literally choose anyone. Just because someone isn’t a Muslim today, doesn’t mean that they won’t be tomorrow InshaAllah. It used to really hurt me to feel different because it felt like a weakness, but now I’m really grateful that I am different and pray that everyone I know and love will ultimately join me on this path. I truly want good for everyone in this life and the next.
Do you believe your journey is more a spiritual one than religious?
I don’t really know what the difference is or what that means. The only label I prefer to use is Muslim as I love the Almighty Allah, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and believe that every moment I have is from Him and for Him. I’m forever grateful for everything He’s given me, tested me with, and for every opportunity I get to wake up to and try again. My life before Islam wasn’t really living so, Alhamdulillah, to be alive again.

What does Candace do on an ordinary day when she is not spreading the word?
My entire life is based around Islam, as I’ve mentioned it’s my total everything and is engrained in everything I do as a complete lifestyle. So, when I say that, I mean that I see a really beautiful picture in front of me with all that I do and I try to remember the point of being alive! I spend a lot of my time connecting with others, trying to add value, and experiencing gratitude, peace, and happiness on a deeper level. Aside from actively learning Islam and helping others online, I really love growth and self-improvement. I love history, learning, health & fitness, trying new things, catching new vibes, and being in nature. You can find me wandering around outside, admiring the ocean, sunsets, and palm trees.

GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI PRESENTS WOMEN’S AND MEN’S FALL-WINTER 2022 COLLECTION AT MILAN FASHION WEEK
Milan Fashion Week has just come to an end with all its magic. This time the program saw most of the brands showcase live, while a few still opted for streaming mode.
Covered Magazine was honored to attend the presentation of Giuseppe Zanotti’s Women’s and Men’s Fall/Winter 2022 Collection set in a luxurious location in Montenapoleone street. “AN ODE TO SELF-LOVE”, this is how the Italian Stylist and Entrepreneur has entitled his latest high-end shoes collection, which he defines as sexy, glamorous and unapologetic.

It’s time to break free. For the Fall/Winter 2022 season, Giuseppe Zanotti invites women to have fun, embrace their bold side and use fashion to convey a message of independence and strength as a reaction to a long period of worldwide hardships. People crave for coming back to life and Giuseppe Zanotti interprets this mood by proposing a shining and colorful collection, as a symbol of spiritual re-birth. It’s the new era of self-love, where feeling healthy and pretty is a priority. Traditional rules are rewritten to develop a signature vocabulary rooted in irreverent elegance and luxurious eccentric sophistication.

The Women’s Collection, in particular, appears as a perfect balance of feminine sensuality and practical comfort, where the platform shoe stands out. The Bebe Pixel is designed for women who want to sparkle: its color palette is extremely eye-catching, including shades of deep burgundy and electric blues, and enriched with rhinestones details. For those who do not fear towering heights, the Tarifa Jewel is the solution! Worked in metallic leather with a mirror effect, this chic sandal also features impactful encrusted crystals. Celebrating perfect imperfection, intentionally asymmetric rhinestone decorations add some serious sparkle to the Adele Crystal ankle strap sandal covered in silk satin, and a joyful combination of colored stones give an extra fun touch to the hot pink stiletto Harmony Diamond. Rhinestones and fur details are combined in the ironic and glamorous Henriette Strass pointed sling-back. Covered in faux fur in an irresistible palette of pastel tones, the Lucreciia fluffy ballerinas, that can also be worn as comfy mules, are decorated with the GZ metallic logo rendered with a melted-like effect. Channeling a Y2K vibe and stealing the spotlight in the gray winter days, long hair Amaia Chain heeled boots in shearling show a playful yeti look, while vegan suede slouchy GZ Gala Caleido styles enriched with a degradé crystal pattern bring sensational glam to the everyday life!

Pastel tones and sparkling details are instead the distinctive traits of the men’s collection, characterized by a more gender-fluid approach. A new logo sneaker pops up featuring the silhouette of a sporty running shoe, the GZ Runner is elevated through the use of outstanding materials and high-tech details, including the shark fin-shaped elements wrapping around the sole. Classic styles of the British footwear tradition, including derbies, monk straps and slippers, are shown in unexpected shades, such as pink and baby blue, or come punctuated with studs, crystals and graphic sequined patterns. There is only one message: personal style has no limits!

MUSLIM YOGI
By Muneerah Barnes
In 2015, I got divorced and I felt so depressed that even the mere thought of prayer, felt difficult. Things felt as if they were falling apart and I was becoming unhinged in that process. It was through moments of stillness and yoga that I was able to find myself again. The me who had desperately longed for her Creator. I turned to Yoga as a form of meditation and exercise and found that my body, prayer and meditation did not have to be distances apart and that as a whole human being- I could find its intersections. Yoga, as a re-alignment practice, forced me to sit with myself, to be still and it was in these moments that I would slip into Duaa (prayers). In the midst of my tears, and forming this balance I had so often sought, I began to understand myself a lot more. This was a sacred time. This was a sacred practice. Slowly, I turned my yoga practice into a daily routine and I would wake each morning for the morning prayer, fajr, I would do my yoga, followed by my prayers THE and then end off with a silent meditation to really focus on my conversations with God. I realised, through these daily practices, that Islam and any other religious beliefs we follow, what occurs within the inner being, whether it is yoga or meditation or extra salah (prayer), beauty and showing up for yourself is about a lifestyle, healthy habits and your personal spiritual path.

Now, as a practicing yogi of over 15 years, I am often met with questions such as how Islam and yoga coincide or whether or not yoga is a form of shirk (idol worship).
My answer is simply and always, “no”.
Though it has a relationship to some religions such as Hinduism or Buddhism, Yoga , as a meditative or physical-movement practice, is not a religion in and of itself nor a religious practice or ritual.
The word ‘yoga’ derived from the sanskirt word ‘yuj’ means to ‘unite’ and is a spiritual practice of mind, body and soul alignment. Similarly, Islam teaches us that we need to seek closeness to our Creator by being mindful, physically active (both in body and mind) and knowledgeable: to seek knowledge from the Cradle to the Grave as we are told. The similarities between the spirituality of Islam and yoga are endless and is what drew me in from the beginning of my yogi journey.
In part 23 of the Yoga Sutra, Patanjali teaches the attainment of supreme spiritual realisation through devotion to God, and this is the ultimate differentiator between the Yoga Darsana and that of the Sankhya Darsana (which is one of the six systems of Indian philosophy alluding to cosmic energies). Patanjali wisely chose to refer to God as ‘Ishvara’, which in Sanskrit simply means ‘God, the Supreme Being’ and does not name a specific deity. This opens up the practice of yoga to all religious and cultural and even non-religious affiliations.
Because, simply put- yoga is for everyone and anyone who seeks stillness, inner unity and divine love.
Yoga and meditation, even for a few minutes a day, means to concentrate and still the mind. When this concentration is directed upon God or any goal that lives in front of us, the yogi reaches the innermost workings of his/her religion or path. Yoga teaches peace, sacrifice, calm and awareness, very similar to the Islamic teachings we welcome as we mature emotionally.
More importantly, during that difficult time in 2015, I was confronted with the pain and anger of my divorce. As a Muslim, we are taught to follow prophetic tradition and not act on our anger in the hope to be a better person. A kinder person. But that was never the easiest when all I had was anger living inside of me. Following the advice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), I strongly believe that through yoga and silent meditation, I had learnt to be in a conversation with my anger. I was able to redirect it.

When greeting, saying Namaste is a deep form of respect to the beauty of another human and translated means “I bow to you” and the Persian word “Namaaz” (to bow / pray) is derived from the word Namaste. Even Salaat (prayer) means “to bend the lower back”.
Often you will hear yogis repeat shanti, shanti, shanti after their practice which means peace, peace, peace, so similar to the Islamic greeting of “Assalaamu alaikum, warragmatulauhi wabarakatu” (peace be upon you with the mercy and blessings of God).
Similarly to that of the Yogi community- belonging and following a divine and spiritual guidance is important for the meditative journey and we acknowledge, that even though yoga is an act done in isolation, it is also done in community. I belong to the yogi community in as much as I belong to the Sufi community. Hakim G.M. Chishti in the Book of Sufi Healing states that life, from its beginning to end, is a continuous set of breathing practices. However, in Tariqat-e-Naqshabandia (a type of Sufi community), the Sufi tradition of Islam, breathing practice has been exactly as it is in yoga and many reciters of the Quran who use yoga breathing (Pranayama) in their recitation of the Quran and daily prayers.
There are so many synergies between Islam and Yoga, like the metaphysic of Advaita Vedanta (spiritual discipline), which agrees with the holistic doctrine of “Oneness” in Islam- the notion of Tawheed. Many traditional teachers of spiritual sects agree that everything in manifestation has its origin in the Supernatural, in the spiritual. The manifestations on the material plane are derived from the ideational realm of archetypes (known as al-a ‘yan al-thabitah in the metaphysics of Ibn al- Arabi). This world, limited as it is, is just an expression of the ultimate reality, and will ultimately be reabsorbed in its supernatural origin.
Probably one of the biggest takeaways from my journey as a yogi is that of pointed concentration, something I had lacked during my prayers. We cannot switch off. This is our modern curse. Even while praying, it is often tough to pull our thoughts to the practise of prayer or even meditation only. However, if we use the yogi technique of trataka which is to focus our attention and fix our gaze on a single point it helps hone our attention. While standing in Islamic prayer we practice trataka by fixing the gaze on a spot on the ground where the forehead rests in sujud (when our head is on the Earth)- similar to the Child’s Pose in Yoga.
I return to the question I always get asked, whether Yoga is in conflict with my Islamic beliefs, and it is not- instead- it is in conversation with each other, teaching me to continuously attain peace within myself and align my mind, body and soul- which in itself- is Islamic.

An unlikely romance about two different people searching for something real in a world where value is based on likes and followers, Marry Me is a modern love story about celebrity, marriage and social media. Kat Valdez (Lopez) is half of the sexiest celebrity power couple on Earth with hot new music supernova Bastian (Maluma, making his feature-film debut). As Kat and Bastian’s inescapable hit single, “Marry Me,” climbs the charts, they are about to be wed before an audience of their fans in a ceremony that will be streamed across multiple platforms. Divorced high-school math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson) has been dragged to the concert by his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman, Big Little Lies) and his best friend (Sarah Silverman). When Kat learns, seconds before the ceremony that Bastian has cheated on her with her assistant her life turns left as she has a meltdown on stage, questioning love, truth and loyalty. As her gossamer world falls away, she locks eyes with a stranger—a face in the crowd. If what you know lets you down, then perhaps what you don’t know is the answer, and so, in a moment of inspired insanity, Kat chooses to marry Charlie. What begins as an impulsive reaction evolves into an unexpected romance. THE “POWER OF COLORS”: HOW TO TURN INTO THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF
How colors can improve your image and professional image.

Color might seem like an obvious part of our everyday lives. For some, it is the recognition that a certain color brings out our eyes, or the fact that a restuarant draws you in because you have a certain affiliation to its color choices. And then there are those joyous days when you decide to bravely and boldy wear your brightest red lipstick or that yellow knee-high body fitting dress. Not only is the “OMG that dress looks amazing on you” the winning feeling in the end of that day but also, the inner feeling of being 100% present with a personal color choice.
Instead of jumping into those lazy washed out brown sweater pants or the furthest from suave period panties, imagine feeling like your best colorful self all the time? The best version of you, the version that brings the color in your eyes back to life or the subtle blush back in your cheecks or the flrity steps in your walk. All of this, no longer has to be imagined or on a once in a while color whim, but instead- your reality. This reality is made possible through the power of colors!
The science behind this is called The Color Theory.

By the 1920s, a color revolution occurred in the United States with the development of new color industries and the possibility of producing color swatch books used as a marketing tool. In the American Dream of the “Roaring Twenties”, Hollywood lookmakers began to use Color Analysis to create the outfits for the celebrities on screen: they simply placed some colored cards close to the face of the stars in order to create a palette of colors which would enhance the image look of the artists. This method, extremely innovative for its time, was based on Johannes Itten’s theory, the Swiss painter who had the brilliant intuition to associate the personal colors of an individual (basically skin, hair and eye color) with the four seasons, respectfully.
Personal Color Analysis reached a height of popularity in the early 1980s and predominantly in the US, where the first Systems for Color Analysis were theorized by Suzanne Caygill and Bernice Kentner, who wrote: “Color: the Essence of You” and “Color Me a Season”. Later on, Carole Jackson was the first one to turn Color Analysis into a popular phenomenon with her book “Color Me Beautiful”.
In the last decade, Color Analysis has had a resurgence after further development and promotion of different versions of seasonal analysis by image and color consultants worldwide. The great news is that, though initially for Caucasians types, Color Analysis has subsequently evolved into a more inclusive discipline and finally applied to people of all ethnicities and race groups, which means that each individual will be able to find out a range of “Power Colors” that will make them shine.
You will have understood by now that the purpose of Color Analysis is the creation of customized color palettes for the correct choice of clothing, accessories, make-up and hair coloring. Nowadays more and more people (ladies in particular) are curious to discover their “Power Colors”, as they immediately understand the advantages Color Analysis can bring to their lives. By having your Color Analysis done, you will soon show off a more curated and “powerful” image in both your personal or professional lives. Additionally, you will be able to save money as you will learn how to select your purchases focusing on the shades and tones which trule honors your skin.

Here are a few advantages Color Analysis can entail: first, it simplifies shopping. The successful practical application of a Color Analysis will allow you to coordinate your clothing and accessories with greater ease and avoid costly mistakes by purchasing items that are not within your personal color palette. Basically, you will learn to spend better and less when you find the shades that work to your advantage.
Second, Color Analysis will prove a good ally in your make-up choices: how many times have you bought a lipstick because you just fell in love with its color but you ended up forgetting about it? Maybe that lipstick was not the suitable shade for your complexion!
Last, but not least, it is worth spending a few words on hair coloring, which plays an important role when you decide to build up the best version of yourself. Are you still undecided on whether or not to change the color of your hair? How many attempts went wrong already? And how much money did you spend on it? Thanks to the Seasonal Theory and Color Analysis you will be advised on the most flattering shades according to your skin tone and eye color.
Are you a Professional within the fashion or beauty industry? Then you should consider the benefits you may derive from Color Analysis: you will be able to offer high-end service and advise your clients on well-informed color palettes and combos. In an increasingly competitive world, knowing how to stand out from the competition is essential to grow your business. A satisfied customer will become a loyal customer and maybe your best marketing strategy ever.
So whether you are up to a makeover or want to boost your confidence, taking it to a bolder next level, always consider what “Power Colors” can do for you.

OSMAN YOUSEFZADA RELEASES HIS NEW BOOK
THE GO-BETWEEN: A PORTRAIT OF GROWING UP BETWEEN DIFFERENT WORLDS
British born artist, Osman Yousefzada is a world-famous fashion designer, multidisciplinary artist and prestigious writer. His latest book The Go-Between, recently launched in the Middle East in February 2022.
The Go-Between offers a window peeking into the Pakistani Afghan-Pashtun community living in the West. It intimately weaves together the narratives of a closed off world where women can’t leave their homes, girls are barred from their rights to education post-puberty, alternative masculinities are suppressed and the pursuit of self-expression is forbidden.
His book is an enthralling coming-of-age story set between Birmingham, London and the Frontier provinces of Afghanistan and Pakistan in the 1980s and 1990s. Yousefzada, explores his personal family narrative in the book. From living in a red-light district on the wrong side of the tracks to the intricate memories of his childhood.
Told from the curious eyes of Osman, as a young person, the reader is invited into a world of grappling with the stark cultural divides between men and women, living out the complexities of and among immigrant communities to the everyday realities of the Western schooling system. Yousefzada’s heart-breaking tale paints the story of erasure, history, memory and the horrific realities of gender-based violence and honour-killings on women and girl children in his communities.
Yousefzada takes the reader from the river-banks of Kabul to the brick-laced streets of Birmingham settling into his teenage years in the busy-ness of London. He moves in and out of these intersecting worlds. Confronted by the burden of racism and family expectations, he is forced to reconcile with his identity- it is no longer possible to exist in one space, and that ultimately, we walk inside, outside and in-between the lives we live
